CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) – Authorities in Bradley County say a motorist discovered a wrecked vehicle and first responders found a dead driver near it.
According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the county ambulance service got the call shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday.
EMTs arrived to find a car on its top, about 25 feet from a road.
The driver, a 75-year-old woman, was found on the ground about 8 feet from the car.
It wasn't clear whether she was thrown out when the car overturned or if she crawled out of the vehicle. She was taken to Sky Ridge Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
It was not known when the crash occurred.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released.
