Two Rutherford County Sheriff's Office deputies have resigned after they were both arrested with DUI in two separate incidents over the weekend.

Deputy Ronnie Pugh, who formerly worked in detention, was charged with driving under the influence on Saturday night after he was pulled over by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Sgt. Trent Givens, who worked as a patrol supervisor was charged with driving under the influence early Monday morning.

Both men were booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and have been released on bond.

Pugh, who had worked for the sheriff's office since 2006, was also charged with possession of a weapon while under the influence of an intoxicant.

He is set to appear in court on March 22.

Givens, who had been employed with the sheriff's office since 1997 is scheduled to appear in general sessions court on April 4.
