Ky. police officer charged for attempting to buy narcotics on duty

Police said a Kentucky police officer was charged with official misconduct on Thursday for attempting to buy narcotics while on duty.

Kentucky state police received a tip about Russell Morris before performing an undercover investigation and controlled delivery.

Morris, 44, is faces multiple charges including official misconduct and trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, among others.

Morris was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

The incident remains under investigation.
