An officer who was injured in the line of duty late last year was honored for her service to the community on Friday.
Officer Faye Denson was named Metro's Officer of the Year.
Denson was shot in November 2012 while she was assisting another officer in a suspect chase.
During the ceremony, Denson said the award is an incredible honor that she feels she does not deserve.
