A four-year-old girl was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Hopkinsville, Kentucky Tuesday evening.

Authorities said Brooklyn Coleman died when the SUV she was riding in lost control when crossing a bridge which was covered with ice at approximately 6 p.m.

The SUV left the roadway and struck a guardrail before coming to rest.

Brooklyn died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, 29-year-old Amber Coleman was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
