Baker was force to withdraw from his first round match Tuesday night with a right knee injury.
Baker retired in the second set after winning the first against Sam Querrey.
The New York Times reported Baker said, “Are you kidding me?” when he was informed what was wrong.
Baker's career was ravaged by injuries before last years miraculous comeback that saw him advance to the round of 16 at Wimbledon.
