A 66-year-old man hauling heavy machinery on a flatbed truck was killed on Saturday afternoon in Clarksville after the load shifted.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Frosty Morn Drive.

Authorities said the man, Carroll Hall, of Goodlettsville, was traveling north on the roadway when the front end loader shifted forward before coming to a rest on top of the cab of the tractor.

A crane was used to remove the machinery from the truck.

Hall died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
