A nine-year-old Macon County girl is recovering at a Nashville hospital after being shot in the head with an arrow last week.
According to the Macon County Times, the girl was accidentally shot in the head Thursday when she was playing with two other children, ages 10 and 11.
The 10 and 11 year olds were playing with a bow and arrow when she ran into the path of a released arrow.
According the report, there was an adult present at the time of the incident.
The girl was taken to an area clinic to be treated.
She was later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she remains in stable condition.
