Radical Mission Compassionate Ministries hosted their fifth annual Warm Souls celebration which benefits families in need in the Clarksville area.

Executive Director, Brett Smith told Nashville's News 2 the event continues to grow each year.

“Over the course of the last five years we have seen it progressively get larger as word gets out. Volunteers are coming on board. We have got a lot of corporate sponsors that are supporting it,” Smith explained.

Monday's annual event was held at the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center located in the 200 block of Old Farmers Road.

Attendees were entertained with live music, in addition to a home-cooked meal, a free store stocked with winter coats, clothes and other necessities. Attendees also had the opportunity to take a free holiday portrait and receive a haircut by professional hairstylists.

“This year we are estimating that over 1,800 guests and at least 400 volunteers will be in attendance,” Coordinator Emman Chapman said, adding, “This may be the only option for a Christmas meal and celebration for our friends and neighbors in the community so we strive to make it special.”

Last year more than 600 people attended the event.
