Metro police are hoping a surveillance image will help identify a man who attempted to rob an east Nashville Family Dollar store last Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 10 a.m. at the store located in the 1000 block of Woodland Street.

According to a news release, upon entering, the suspect demanded cash at knifepoint.

The clerk refused to comply and the suspect fled on food.

The robber appears to be in his late teens or early 20s and is approximately six feet tall and weighs 200 pounds.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
