Metro police are continuing to investigate after thieves stole a more than six foot tall bronze statue placed outside a Nashville publishing company.
According to police, the statue of R.H. Boyd Publishing Company's founder was stolen between 9:30 p.m. December 5 and 6 a.m. December 6.
The statue was said to be bolted onto a platform located in front of the business located at 6717 Centennial Boulevard
Authorities said the statue of R.H. Boyd weighs several hundred pounds and suspect the thieves will attempt to sell it for scrap.
The statue was first placed outside the publishing company in 1974.
