Metro police charged a 46-year-old woman in two separate convenience store robberies that occurred in the last week.
The first incident involving Betsy James occurred last Thursday at a Mapco station located at 1500 Lebanon Pike in the early morning hours.
James is also accused of robbing a Shell station located at 822 Murfreesboro Pike just before 4 a.m. Thursday.
Police said she entered the convenience store and allegedly took several packs of cigarettes and $150 in cash before fleeing on foot.
She was taken into police custody at a nearby apartment complex where officers discovered several packs of unopened cigarettes and a handgun.
During a police interview, James admitted her involvement in both crimes.
James is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, resisting arrest, unlawful weapon possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is being held in lieu of $85,000 bond.
