Police arrested an east Tennessee man Friday for the rape of a 14-year-old singer he was hired to manage.
The alleged assault occurred in 2011 in the parking lot of the DoubleTree Hotel in Murfreesboro.
Detectives began investigating Ronald Hicks, 66, of Vonore, this summer after the girl and her parents came forward.
The girl's parents told police they'd hired Hicks to be their daughter's personal manager.
According to the arrest report, in May of 2011, Hicks and the victim traveled to Murfreesboro to watch a band.
At some point, Hicks took the girl to the hotel parking lot and gave her a margarita.
While still in the car, Hicks forced himself on her and inappropriately touched her.
Hicks was arrested following a grand jury indictment charging with rape, sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts sexual battery by an authority figure.
He was transported from east Tennessee and booked into the Rutherford County jail on a $100,000 bond.
