A Mid-State toddler and his father were uninjured after a DUI offender crashed through a printing business late Saturday night.

The accident occurred at USA Printing located at Highway 41A North just after 10 p.m.

According to police, Timothy Leverette hit a car in the businesses' parking lot causing both vehicles to crash into the building.

Owner Don Hicks told Nashville's News 2 his son, Matthew, and 18-month-old grandson, Kayden live at the far end of the facility. Both were inside at the time of the crash.

“When it came in and it just scooted my grandson out of the way,” Hicks said. “It was just a miracle. Then the garage doors that were there landed on him.”

Hicks said a family friend, Chris Renna, who was visiting his grandmother a few houses away, heard the crash and came running.

Despite all the rumble, Renna was the first to get to Kayden.

“They just picked up the garage doors and found my grandson underneath them without a scratch,” Hicks recalled.

He continued, “It is a miracle. It really is a miracle.”

Leverette is charged with DUI, reckless endangerment and driving on a suspended license.

He remains jailed in Bedford County on an $8,000 bond.

Hicks said he plans to reopen his business as soon as he can.
