A Nashville reporter is recovering from a gunshot wound she received late Thursday night during an alleged ATM robbery.

A Fox 17 Executive Producer told Nashville's News 2 reporter Erika Lathon was shot in the arm just before 12 a.m. Midnight.

Metro police told Nashville's News 2 Lathon pulled up to the Bank Of America on 18th Avenue North and Church Street when a man approached her with a gun.

According to Metro Police Captain Ken Walburn, “she complied with his request, unfortunately during the robbery the suspect still shot the victim.  He fled on foot. We searched the area but we were not able to locate him.”

Lathon drove herself to Baptist Hospital in the 2000 block of Church Street where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

She has since been released.

Police are searching for a bald man who is between 25 and 35 years old and has a muscular build.

Investigators are working to get the surveillance video form the bank.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. The reward money is being offered until December 7, 2013.
