Neighbors in Mt. Juliet are demanding to know why a repeat DUI offender is still driving after multiple DUI convictions and arrests.

Jonathan Matthew Greene's most recent arrest was November 19, for DUI third offense. He was subsequently charged with a probation violation on December 3.

Neighbors in the Triple Crown subdivision in Mt. Juliet told Nashville's News 2 they have long been concerned by the 26-year-old's driving in the area.

“Quite a few of the families have younger children,” a concerned neighbor who did not want to be identified said.

He continued, “We believe the gentleman needs help. We want something done before something tragic happens.”

In addition to the recent DUI and violation of probation arrest, Greene is also facing a public intoxication arrest from October 25 in Mt. Juliet.

He was sentenced to a suspended 30 day-jail term and a $25 fine on October 8, 2012 following a separate public intoxication arrest at the Wilson County Courthouse in September.

Greene was at court for a hearing in connection to failure to appear charges.

In August 2012, Greene was arrested for DUI second offense in Nashville. That case is pending and set for trial February 12, 2013.

According to Wilson and Davidson County courts, Greene has been arrested at least once every month since June with the exception of July.

His arrests date back to 2005 in both Wilson and Davidson County for other DUIs, simple possession charges and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

“You have got school aged children you have got people who may be here when he is driving up and down the roads,” the neighbor said. “We are at our wit's end.”

The neighbor continued, “We have tried to do what we can do some of the neighbors I know have spoken with him and have spoken to his relatives.”

Nashville's News 2 attempted to talk to Greene at his Mt. Juliet home, Tuesday evening.

He declined to speak on camera, but said that he does not drive recklessly through the neighborhood.

Mt. Juliet police has increased patrols in the area as a result of complaints to the department.

Officers have been given a description of Greene's car and told to be on the look out for any illegal activity.

“The police department and sheriff's department have been wonderful,” the neighbor said. “They have listened to our concerns and have done everything they can, but we are constantly surprised by the fact that nothing seems to happen once they have done their jobs.”

According to court records Greene is scheduled to appear in court for his DUI third offense charge on January 7, 2013.

Until then he remains free on bond.
