A Nashville man was able to track his stolen belongings using his iPad's GPS system, leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the theft.

The victim told police he was at a Nashville bar Tuesday night when his book bag, containing a watch, a shaving kit and the iPad, was stolen.

Using the iPad, the man tracked his belongings to a residence located on Northridge Drive in Clarksville.

When police arrived around 3 p.m. Wednesday, they made contact with Alastair Murray who was wearing the victim's watch and book bag.

The iPad was found inside the bag. The shaving kit was found in an upstairs room, according to the police report.

In addition, the report stated a man inside the home confirmed that he and Murray had been at the same Nashville bar as the victim the night before.

Murray, 28, was charged with property theft and booked on a $5,000 bond.
