A man was seriously injured after an argument turned physical at a Madison hotel early Tuesday morning.
Police told Nashville's News 2 the fight broke out between Charles Woodrome, 29, and Jerry Russell, 53, around 1 a.m. at a hotel in the 600 block of Gallatin Pike North near Nesbitt Lane.
According to police, Russell received life-threatening injuries during the incident.
He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was last listed in critical but stable condition.
Woodrome was also injured after reportedly receiving several blows from a hammer. He has since been treated and released from an area hospital.
Police have yet to interview Russell due to his medical condition.
Woodrome is charged with attempted murder and is being held in lieu of $250,000.
