The Nashville Rescue Mission is in dire need of 400 turkey donations, as well as other items that will be used to feed the homeless during the upcoming holiday season.
Organizers ask that donated turkeys weigh a minimum of 12 pounds.
Each year, the shelter provides a traditional Thanksgiving meal to those in need. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, November 21 and Thursday, November 22.
The Nashville Rescue Mission has provided meals to the homeless and hungry throughout Middle Tennessee since 1954.
Donations can be dropped off at the Mission's Donation Center located at 616 7th Avenue South Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
