Thousands of shoppers are expected to flock to the state fairgrounds over the weekend to take advantage of deals and unique finds at the 52nd annual Christmas Village.

This year's event features 270 merchants offering everything from children's gifts to holiday décor.

“You'll find everything from Christmas holiday decor to clothing, jewelry toys [and] food,” event co-chair Kendra Melnyk told Nashville's News 2. “There are a lot of vendors that sell out of certain fabulous items before the weekend is out.”

What first started as a craft fair in 1961 has morphed into a one-stop shop for all of your gift-giving needs this holiday season. This year's event took 11 months of planning and 1,500 volunteers.

“I would say the price point on the majority of the items here probably fall within that $5 to $25 price range. So lots of great gift ideas in a very affordable price range,” Melnyk said.

Last year the Christmas Village raised more than $460,000 got Vanderbilt's Bill Wilkerson Center, which specializes in ear, nose and throat diseases and communications disorders.

Around 25,000 shoppers are expected to visit this year's Christmas Village.

Tickets are available at the door for $10.

The Christmas Village will be held on Saturday from 9 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 6 p.m.
