Metro police arrested a convicted burglar on Wednesday night for using a key card to enter a room at a downtown Nashville hotel.

According to police, Antoun Brown entered a room occupied by two females at the Renaissance Hotel.

Brown reportedly told the women he was looking for an ice machine before leaving.

The hotel guest immediately called down to the front desk to report the incident.

Hotel security located Brown on the fourth floor. He was held by security until police arrived to the scene.

At the time of his arrest, Brown was carrying seven key cards from several hotels that he claimed he took from a cleaning cart.

Police said Brown possessed a knife with a chiseled tip that police said could be used to defeat locking mechanisms.

He is charged with aggravated burglary and possession of a burglary tool.

Brown remains jailed on a $13,000 bond.

Police said they are investigating to determine if Brown had any involvement in other similar hotel burglaries that have occurred since January.
