Two teens were arrested after allegedly shooting an Antioch man in an attempt to rob him and two of his friends.

The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on Apollo Drive near Jason Drive.

Dominique Ismael, 25, was walking along Apollo Drive with two friends when they were approached by a couple men asking where they could buy marijuana.

The victims replied they didn't know, when one of the strangers pointed a pistol at them and demanded money.

The man wielding the gun, later identified as 16-year-old Edwin Thompson, allegedly shot Ismael when they said they didn't have any money.

Ismael was hit once in the arms and twice in the legs.

Following the altercation, the suspects fled in a Honda sedan with temporary tags.

Upon the investigation an officer spotted the described vehicle and called in for assistance.

Police said the two suspects were taken into custody for questioning and were uncooperative.

The other suspect was identified as 19-year-old Otis Mitchell.

Thompson was taken to juvenile detention while Mitchell is being held at the Metro County Jail.

Both Thompson and Mitchell are being charged on three counts of especially aggravated robbery.
