Country music star Darius Rucker was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday.
Rucker's invitation came from fellow country artist and Opry member Brad Paisley.
Rucker, formerly the lead singer of the rock band Hootie and the Blowfish, made his country debut in 2008 with his album “Learn to Live.”
The country crooner's debut album included the hit “Don't Think I Don't Think About It,” which spent two weeks at the top of the chart.
Rucker's induction ceremony is set to be held on October 16.
Rucker is set to release his latest album early next year.
