Former Tennessee Titan Frank Wycheck is set to be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
The Titans' former tight end learned of the honor during the broadcast of the Titans-Lions game on Sunday.
“To be a part of this state, which I am not from and just to know what I have done people have paid attention to and thought it was pretty good. I'm proud of that,” he said.
Wycheck is the first former Titan player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
He played for the Titans from 1995 to 2003.
He currently works as the team's radio analyst.
Belmont Basketball Coach Rick Byrd and former Middle Tennessee State University quarterback Kelly Holcombe will also be inducted.
The ceremony will be held May 4, 2013 at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville.
