Truck driver Kenneth Davis pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree murder Monday morning for killing two Nashville women more than a decade ago.

Davis was indicted one month ago on a charge of second-degree murder for the March 1999 strangulation death of Jackie Pelham.

Pelham, 35, was found dead in an alley off Stockell Street.

DNA evidence linked Davis to the homicide.

Davis, 55, has been jailed since June 22, 2011, for the murder nearly 12 years ago of Christina Yvonne Parham.

Parham's nude body was found on the morning of December 1, 2000, on the side of the road in the 1500 block of Dugger Drive in east Nashville.

Police said Parham, 25, appeared to have been pushed or pulled from a vehicle.

The medical examiner determined she died of asphyxiation.

Scientific evidence recovered from Parham's body led to the initial identification of Davis.
