Man shot outside friend’s apartment

Police are searching for three suspects after a man was shot outside an apartment complex in south Nashville Sunday night.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. at an apartment in the 500 block of Harding Place.

According to police, the victim was in the parking lot of the complex visiting friends when the driver of a white Chrysler or Dodge drove up and asked for money.  He then opened fire.

The victim was hit twice in the legs and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are searching for three black males between the ages of 16 and 20.

They are all believed to weigh between 130 and 135 pounds. Two are thought to be roughly five feet, eight inches tall and the other five feet, six inches tall.

They were all wearing black clothing at the time of the shooting, police said.

No further details were immediately released.
