Thousands of people packed Mundy Memorial park Saturday and Sunday to celebrate Indian culture.

Dozens of tribes from all over the United States were present at the event.

“A Pow Wow is just basically an intertribal celebration with all tribes getting together and celebrating life,” said Pow Wow participant Lowery Begay. “We've been able to do that here with dancers from all over Cherokee nation, as we call it.”

Dance competitions were held, with over $11,000 given out in prize money.
