Clarksville police arrested a 35-year-old man after he reportedly robbed and stole his friend's vehicle following a verbal altercation on Saturday.
According to police the incident occurred around 5 a.m. in the 400 block of Ringgold Road, however they were not notified of the robbery until the early afternoon.
The victim reported to police Keno Holmes snuck up behind him and hit him on the back of the head before kicking him and taking his debit card, cell phone and keys to his 2006 Ford Escape.
Police said the 43-year-old victim returned to his home in Oak Grove, Kentucky to have his injuries treated before he called Holmes in an effort to get him to return the property.
The victim then called police notifying them of the incident.
Police set up surveillance near the Ringgold Drive address. They soon spotted him driving the stolen vehicle and found the victim's stolen property in his possession.
Holmes was taken into police custody and is charged with robbery and theft of property.
He remains jailed on a $10,000 bond.
Police added Holmes was on probation for a drug-related charge out of another county at the time of his arrest.
