Franklin police are asking for the public's help identifying the man wanted for the robbery of a local Mapco station last month.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m. on the morning of August 26, police said the suspect entered the Mapco store located at 240 Franklin Road and reached over the counter for cash when the clerk opened the register during a transaction.

When the clerk attempted to stop him, the suspect claimed to have a weapon before fleeing with the cash.

Anyone with information is urged to call Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered.
