Former Tennessee Titans Vince Young was released by the Buffalo Bills on Monday morning.
Young broke the news himself via Twitter saying, “I want to thank the Bills organization for the opportunity and wish the organization and my teammates good luck this season.”
The Bills signed Young in the off season to back-up Ryan Fitzpatrick.
After an unimpressive preseason the Bills traded for Seattle QB Tavares Jackson Sunday, making Young expendable.
Young was the third pick of the 2006 NFL Draft and made two Pro Bowls as a member of the Tennessee Titans.
After a tumultuous time in Tennessee and several public battles with then head coach Jeff Fisher the Titans parted ways with Young after the 2010 season.
