There will be no return to Tennessee football for star wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers.

Reports swirled Sunday night Rogers has transferred to Tennessee Tech.

On Monday, Volunteers head coach Derek Dooley indicated Rogers was no longer on the team's roster.

Dooley said Rogers “is not a part of our team, as expected.”

Tennessee Tech is a Football Championship Subdivision (Formerly 1-AA) school, which means Rogers could transfer and play immediately.

Tennessee Tech spokesman Rob Schabert said he could not confirm reports of Rogers' arrival.

Rogers was an All-SEC player for the Vols last season catching 67 passes for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns.

He was indefinitely suspended Thursday for a violation of team rules.
