For most of middle Tennessee the evening will be rain free; however, it is possible that a few spotty showers or t'showers will pop up here and there.
There is a SEVERE STORM WATCH until 11:00PM for west TN and western KY. A cold front is moving in from the west and will push some of that activity through middle Tennessee overnight. We do not necessarily expect severe storms in the midstate due to the daytime downpours and clouds that stabilized our atmosphere. That said, it is likely there will be scattered t'showers overnight as the front pushes through. A couple of isolated cells could certainly produce lightning and some gusty winds.
Any leftover storms would be well east of Nashville as the sun rises Tuesday morning. We may have a brief time of sunshine early in the day but expect clouds to increase quickly and hang around most of the afternoon. That will keep high temps in the low 80s.
We will have the latest on the cold front and any storm development on News 2 at 10.
