Summer microburst storms wreaked havoc across middle Tennessee Thursday afternoon/evening. While Nashville got NO rain and hovered in the triple digits until sunset, Smyrna (just a few miles down I-24) looked like a winter wonderland with hail covering the ground. Trees came down and lots of folks lost power.
Isolated storms are possible again Friday and Saturday but should be more widespread Sunday and Monday. We are all so desperate for rain that we hope that widespread rain is the case.
