Pleasant View police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are utilizing dogs and a helicopter to search for a man named Sage Martin.

Pleasant View police pulled him over around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning for outstanding warrants.

According to police, Sage struggled with the officer, pushed him to the ground and took off running.

Pleasant View Police Chief Michael Douglas told Nashville's News 2, “I'm assuming that he knew he had warrants out of Williamson County and didn't want to go back to jail.”

Police have been combing the woods off Highway 41 since the incident.

The officer involved in pulling Martin over was not injured.

Douglas says the suspect is described as 5'9″ tall and 189 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black skirt, black shorts and no shoes.

Pleasant View spans 12 square miles in Cheatham County.

If you have seen Sage Martin, contact the Pleasant View Police Department at (615) 792-2098.
