A Nashville man is charged with raping a young girl nearly a decade ago after coming forward last week.
Larry Meeks Jr., 44, is charged with rape of a child after he confessed to police he raped a young girl in 2002 or 2003 when she was between the ages of seven and nine.
The victim was subsequently interviewed and told police she was in fact raped by Meeks.
She reported the rape happened in the upstairs hallway of her home in December of 2003.
The girl said Meeks grabbed her wrist, pulled her to the floor and forced her to have sex with him.

Police said Meeks knew his victim. The investigation is ongoing.
