A suspect was sent to the hospital after breaking into a Habitat for Humanity store Monday morning.
Police responded to an alarm at the store located in the 1000 block of 8th Avenue South.
When they arrived, they saw the suspect inside and called K9 units.
Authorities gave the suspect verbal commands to get down. He complied and authorities were able to apprehend the suspect.
Police told Nashville's New 2 that while in the store, the victim changed his appearance by putting on feminine attire.
The suspect also wrapped a cloth around his arm to protect himself from the dog.
He was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
