Clarksville police are asking for assistance finding a shoplifter identified as Troy Devon Tyson who hit a store employee with a vehicle while fleeing.

Officers responded to a shoplifting call at the Kohl's store located in the 2800 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on the afternoon of April 14.

The loss prevention officer reported he saw Tyson with a knife stealing clothing from the store and began chasing him.

When the first officer arrived, the chase had moved into the parking lot where the suspect jumped into a dark green Dodge Magnum with a temporary Kentucky tag.

The store's assistant manager attempted to stop Tyson after he entered the vehicle, but he backed up and knocked the manager to the ground before fleeing the scene.

The shoplifter took an estimated $300 in merchandise.

The manager suffered only minor injuries.

Anyone with information on Tyson is urged to call Clarksville police's tips line at 931-645-8477.
