A Mid-State private school partnered with a non-profit organization to grant the life long wish of a 10-year-old boy battling cancer.

On Monday afternoon, Logan Cantrell learned that he and his family would be leaving for Disney World later this week through the help of Christ Presbyterian Academy and the Make A Wish Foundation.

“Words cannot express what these kids have done for our family,” mother Chrissy Cantrell told Nashville's News 2.

The family of four planned to go to the Florida amusement park last year, but was unable to because Logan was too sick.

“Given the circumstances he's been through a lot and I've been by him. I don't know that I could do it to be truthful,” father James Cantrell said.

The surprise trip was in part made possible by the students at Christ Presbyterian Academy, who on their own raised $7,000 for the Cantrell's through fundraisers such as bake sales.

During Monday's surprise announcement, students dressed as recognizable Disney characters.

Logan and his family are scheduled to leave for Disney World on Wednesday.
