Authorities in Maury County are continuing to investigate the cause of a Columbia man's death after his body was discovered in a motorcycle trailer on Monday.
According to a report in the Columbia Daily Herald, Gary Hay's body was found at The Muddy Beaver, where he was staying in a trailer while selling motorcycle merchandise over the weekend, located in the 400 block of Riverside Drive.
Police said they received a call from an acquaintance of the 53-year-old man around Noon saying they had not heard from Hay since Saturday.
Authorities told the paper foul play was not immediately suspected and that Hay's death may have been due to a medical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
An autopsy is expected to be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
