A 16-year-old Cheatham County Central High School student was killed Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Harristown Road.
According to the Ashland City Times, Madison Anger, of Chapmansboro, died from injuries she sustained in the accident, which occurred shortly before 6 p.m. near Norman Harris Road.
Anger was a junior at CCCHS and a member of the school's tennis team.
Anger was traveling northbound on Harristown Road in a 2004 Mazda when she ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The report stated Anger's vehicle then struck a boulder, causing it to roll over several times before coming to rest against a tree.
Anger, who was wearing her seat belt, died at the scene.
Funeral services for Anger will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Cheatham County Funeral Home in Ashland City, according to the paper.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
