The Christian County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday arrested a Ft. Campbell solider for the murder of his wife last year.
Kathleen McGee, 30, suffered a fatal gunshot wound at her Hopkinsville home last December 2.
The gunshot was first reported as self-inflicted but after collecting evidence from the scene and interviewing family members, the sheriff's department suspected foul play.
Authorities interviewed the victim's husband, Staff Sgt. Michael Korolevich, on Wednesday and during the interview, he admitted to shooting and killing his wife.
Korolevich, 32, was charged with murder and transported from Ft. Campbell to the Christian County jail where he is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
Additional information was not released.
