Authorities have arrested a man in connection to the death of a 19-year-old Tullahoma woman Thursday morning.

Twenty-year-old Thomas Edward Allen was taken into custody following the stabbing death of Megan Ann McGuinn.

Tullahoma Police Chief Paul Blackwell told Nashville's News 2 McGuinn, was found around 10 a.m. inside a duplex located at 1206 Harton Boulevard.

Officers responded to the address at the request of Winchester police who reported they spoke with an injured person at a local hospital who indicated a welfare check should be conducted at the duplex.

According to police, when they arrived to the scene of the home a family member was also there to see McGuinn, but could not get anyone to answer the door.

McGuinn's boyfriend was called to the scene and discovered she was deceased.

Police determined during their investigation that a large sum of money was missing from the home.

Authorities located Allen's vehicle and other evidence, including the knife believed to have been used in the incident.

Allen is charged with theft over $500 and first degree murder.

He remains in the Coffee County Jail on a $2.1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court next Thursday.
