La Vergne police say a 17-year-old girl is responsible for an armed robbery at a local tobacco shop last month.
The robbery occurred February 18 at Jimmy's Tobacco Outlet on Old Nashville Highway.
At that time, the suspect was described as a left-handed man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, bandana and gloves.
Officers said the girl confessed to the armed robbery Tuesday.
Her name will not be released because she is a minor.
She faces a court hearing at the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center Wednesday afternoon.
