An Ashland City woman was charged with child abuse and neglect earlier this week after she allegedly left her daughter behind after the two were caught shoplifting.
According to a report in the Leaf Chronicle, Sharon Wilson's daughter was caught taking two items from the Walmart located at 2823 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
The paper reported that the 36-year-old woman was assisting her daughter with the theft, but left her behind during the incident and did not return.
Wilson is charged with child abuse and neglect, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
She was booked into jail on a $1,500 bond.
