Police in Franklin are investigating a report of an alleged flasher in the Fieldstone Farms subdivision off Hillsboro Road.
According to police, just after Noon Wednesday a white male wearing a dark colored toboggan-style hat, sunglasses and blue jeans pulled up to a home in the 300 block of Sterling Park Terrace and exposed himself to a woman arriving home with her teenage daughter.
“The teenage daughter had walked inside the garage. The mom was only a few steps behind when she noticed a car at the bottom of the driveway. She walked down, trying to be a good neighbor, thinking maybe he needed directions, but what she found when she opened the door was that his pants were actually down,” Sgt. Charles Warner, with the Franklin Police Department, told Nashville's News 2.
The woman immediately screamed for her husband and the suspect drove away without saying a word.
Residents were first alerted of the alleged act in a letter from the neighborhood's homeowner's association Wednesday afternoon.
An alert about the incident from police was sent to homeowners Thursday afternoon.
“I thought it couldn't be here in our neighborhood, a safe little neighborhood,” one homeowner told Nashville's News 2. “Oh most definitely, it disgusts me. I have three girls and it's very scary.”
Franklin police said the man was driving a distinct metallic blue two-door car similar to a Toyota Corolla.
Anyone seeing such a vehicle is urged to call police immediately at 615-794-2513.
