A Clarksville homeowner helped police arrest a suspected vehicle burglar early Wednesday morning after he caught the man opening a door to his SUV.

Shortly after 2 a.m., the homeowner told police he saw two men walking past his house in the 3400 block of Old Timber Road when one of the men stopped in his driveway.

The homeowner went outside and saw the man, later identified as Rafael Quina, opening and closing the driver's side door of his Chevrolet Suburban.

He confronted Quina who screamed and ran.

The homeowner caught Quina but he started to fight by punching, kicking, pulling away and dragging Puckett across the yard.

Neighbors heard the noise and called 911.

The homeowner was finally able to subdue Quina and hold him down until officers arrived.

The other male with Quina fled the scene.

Quina, 18, was charged with vehicle burglary and booked into the Montgomery County jail on a $10,000 bond.
