Several people were injured late Wednesday night when a car struck a disabled pickup truck.
According to police, the truck was pulled over on Interstate 65 near the Interstate 24 split, past Rosa Parks Boulevard, when it was hit from behind around 10:30 p.m.
The disabled truck had pulled over on the bridge and was not completely off the roadway.
Several people were transported to the hospital but their injuries are not life threatening.
The driver of the truck initially ran from the scene. Police are unsure why.
