Police charged a man Saturday evening with vehicular assault and leaving the scene of a crash that critically injured two pedestrians.

Police allege 23-year-old Trevor Bradshaw was intoxicated when he collided with Jeffrey Brooksher, 22, and Glenn Allen, Jr., 23, as they attempted to cross Demonbreun Street around 2:25 a.m. Saturday morning.

After the collision, Bradshaw traveled over a raised median and crashed into a taxi cab van.

Both pedestrians were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the taxi, Ahmed Sheka, was also taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Bradshaw fled on foot, leaving his girlfriend, Erin Brown, 21, at the scene, with non-life threatening injuries.

Warrants have been issued charging Brown with two counts of vehicular assault because she permitted Bradshaw to drive her vehicle while intoxicated.

Bradshaw was booked into the Metro jail on a $7,500 bond.
