Country superstar Keith Urban is scheduled to undergo throat surgery later this month forcing him to postpone the upcoming “All for the Hall” benefit concert for the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Urban will have a polyp removed from his vocal cords and will be required to complete voice rest followed by an undetermined period of recuperation.
Despite having to scale back appearances, the Grammy winner will continue to honor his pre-existing one-song performance commitments leading up to the surgery.
All other appearances, including the third “All for the Hall” concert which was scheduled for January will be rescheduled next year.
Urban is set to appear at the 45th annual CMA Awards next Wednesday night.
The show airs on Nashville's News 2 beginning at 7 p.m.
