Kellie Pickler is among the artists scheduled to perform Saturday at the third annual “Opry Goes Pink” event which brings awareness to breast cancer.
In addition to performing the 25-year-old singer will flip the switch on the Opry's barn backdrop turning it pink for the second show, which begins at 9:30 p.m.
“My grandmother, who raised me and was my angel, died of cancer and I'm honored to participate in every way I can to help bring awareness and raise money to fight this horrible disease,” said Pickler.
In addition to Saturday's shows featuring Martina McBride and Ronnie Milsap among others, the annual breast cancer awareness event will extend to the first time to the Opry's Web site with an online pink auction that begins on Tuesday.
All proceeds of the auction will benefit Women Rock for the Cure.
